The York College Biology Department is committed to training excellent students in several Allied Health fields.  Within our department, we have three specialty programs aimed at accomplishing this goal: 

Health Care Coding    Program Coordinator: Prof. Connie Werner

Nuclear Medicine Technology Program Coordinator:  Prof. Elizabeth  Hodgson

Respiratory Care  Program Coordinator:  Prof. Mark Simmons

Students within these programs participate in internships and clinical rotations at area hospitals.  This allows the students direct contact with  patients, and ultimately helps students identify mentors in their fields of study.  This hands-on approach to clinical training enriches the overall academic experience at York College.
