Faculty - Accounting - The Department of Business Administration at York College of Pennsylvania invites applications and nominations for two tenure track positions in Accounting at the Assistant Professor level beginning August 2008. Qualified candidates will be able to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Financial and Managerial Accounting. In particular, we seek someone who is a CPA, CMA and/or CFE. Qualified candidates should posses an earned doctorate in Accounting or an earned doctorate in another business related field with at least 21 graduate credits in Accounting. Persons with a JD/CPA will also be considered. Graduate coursework in finance and the willingness to teach the occasional finance course is a plus. The person chosen for this position will have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in college teaching, scholarly activity and college/community service. Faculty - Criminal Justice - Methodologist - The Department of Behavioral Sciences at York College of Pennsylvania invites applications for a full time tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor to start in August 2008. York College of Pennsylvania (www.ycp.edu) is a private-sector, independent institution of higher education, which focuses on offering over 50 baccalaureate majors in the arts and sciences and in professional fields. Currently, 4,600 full-time undergraduate students are enrolled at York College from some 30 states and 15 foreign countries. York College of Pennsylvania is located fifty miles north of Baltimore, thirty miles south of Harrisburg, and ninety miles north of Washington, D.C. The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching courses in our rigorous research methodology series as well as senior seminar and other criminal justice courses in their specialized area. The course load will include Research Methodology I and II, senior seminar, and other traditional criminal justice courses. Additional duties include development of new courses, advising students; engaging in scholarly activity; and providing service to the department, the college and the York community. A Ph.D. in criminal justice or a related field is preferred (ABDs may apply with evidence of degree award forthcoming). A record of excellence in teaching and advising, scholarly promise, and a strong commitment to service is desirable. Campus Patrol Officer - Full-Time (mid-night shift) staff position available immediately. Responsibilities include ensuring the safety of campus residents, staff and visitors using community oriented policing concepts. Duties include enforcing campus rules and policies, upholding PA laws; report writing; emergency response; and acting as College ambassador. Requires High School Diploma; valid PA driver’s license; US Citizenship; minimum 21 years of age, and two years of security or law enforcement experience, or 1 year experience with Act 120 certification, or Associates Degree. Also requires ability to obtain Act 235 certification, and to pass medical and psychological screenings, and background investigation. Director of Budgeting and Financial Analysis - Full-time Director of Budgeting and Financial Analysis position available immediately. Responsibilities include budgeting, long-range forecasting, and variance analyses. The Director is also responsible to interface with department heads and other administrators to develop and implement process improvements. The Director will also supervise the Procurement Manager. Required B.S. in Accounting or Finance, 5 yrs. experience in budget and accounting management. Computer literacy and prior experience with SCT Banner preferred. Grounds Crew - Mechanic - Full-time staff Grounds Crew - Mechanic position available immediately. Responsibilities include general grounds keeping and utility tasks, as well as performing mechanical repairs to care for and maintain all College grounds, buildings and related facilities and equipment. Requires High School diploma or equivalent, trade school or certification training helpful. Experience in small engine repairs; diesel maintenance; and ability to follow assembly drawings, electrical schematics and parts diagrams necessary. Working knowledge of hydraulics systems; welding equipment; lawn care and landscaping practices will be helpful. Must possess or be able to acquire the Pennsylvania Pesticide Certification and the EPA 608 level #1 Refrigerant Certification. Position offers competitive benefits, along with tuition remission. Information Services Assistant -Information Services Assistant (Office Specialist B): A part-time night position is available immediately in Schmidt Library. Assist the night supervisor with various aspects of circulation, building, and library resources areas. Library experience is helpful. Intern Athletic Trainer - Part-time staff Intern Athletic Trainer position available starting mid-August 2008 and ending mid-May 2009. Responsibilities include working alongside the certified athletic training staff and team orthopedic consultants to provide athletic health care for 375 athletes for a 20 sport NCAA Div. III program; assisting in the supervision of teams at practices and games and direct involvement in the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries; experience developing injury prevention programs; opportunities to view surgeries and interact with the team orthopedic consultants if desired; as well as administrative duties. The position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a CAATE curriculum program and NATABOC certification or eligible to sit for the exam, current CPR/AED and First Aid certification. Position will include stipend plus room (apartment) and board (full meal plan). York Country Day School - Athletic Director and Middle and Upper School Dean of Students - F/T administrative position available July 1, 2008 for York Country Day School. The AD and Dean is responsible for the development, management, coordination and supervision of a competitive and developmentally appropriate athletics program; in addition to wellness and life skills for the middle and upper school students. Job responsibilities include the planning, direction, and administration of the entire athletic program.
